Tuesday Oct 19th at 6:30 pm: PN hosts Holt at Husky Field

Thursday Oct 21 will be semifinals at 5:30 and 7:30 where winners advance (the Holt/PN winner will play Battle Creek Lakeview). The District Championship is Saturday Oct 23rd at 6:00 pm.

Remember, the success of our program depends on the time and effort put in, along with the competition that our athletes play with, and against, all year. Your webmasters suggest that you follow the summer workout schedule and check out the Olivet Team Camp.

Latest Olivet Camp Information:

We strongly encourage all PN soccer candidates to participate in the Olivet Camp the week before try-outs. We've noticed teams that take advantage of these kinds of opportunities nearly always have more successful seasons, and it stands to reason additional dedication and preparation will be beneficial to the individual and the team.

The daily schedules for this camp are outlined below (from Olivet soccer coaches):

Monday, August 2nd and Wednesday August 4th:
5:30pm-7:30pm training and the last ½ hour we will do some speed and agility stuff with our strength coach

Thursday, August 5th:
PN will play 3 schedule matches against other high school teams. The schedule will be given to the boys when they show up for there first training session.

As you can see, we will participating in the "commuter camp", therefore car pools will need to be set-up each day to get the players over to Olivet.

However, what we need to do now is to start getting firm commitments from each of you as to whether or not you will be attending the camp/training?

Please notify Jeff Clark (jeff.clark@summitenergy.com) no later than Monday July 12th, as to whether or not you are planning on attending this training.

The cost of the camp is $65.00 per player and needs to be paid to the Portage Northern Soccer Boosters at least 10 days prior to the beginning of camp.

Also, please remember that participation in optional workouts and/or soccer activities does not guarantee a place on the JV or Varsity roster. But it promises to be rewarding for those interested in improving their soccer capabilities.
